Join us for a casual neighborhood happy hour at La Palapa.

This is a come-as-you-are, low-key chance to meet neighbors, catch up with familiar faces, and spend time together indoors.
To make it easy to stop by, CHCRNA will be buying queso and guacamole for the table — drinks and meals are on your own. Feel free to come late, leave early, or just pop in for a bit.
After having to cancel several recent events due to weather, we’re excited to take things inside and reconnect. We hope to see you there!

Hands-On-History (Digitize CHCRNA documents)

At the beginning of 2025, when the CHCRNA board transitioned, we received several boxes of physical files—newsletters, meeting minutes, flyers, and other materials documenting the happenings of our neighborhood for the past 15+ years. It’s a treasure trove of community history, and now it’s time to organize and preserve it!
We’re hosting a laid-back archive day to digitize and sort through these materials together. If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved, this is the perfect opportunity to give your time to the neighborhood, learn more about our shared history, and connect with neighbors in a fun, low-pressure setting.
We’ll be working out of a room at the Windsor Park Library (because, let’s be real, August is not the time for outdoor events). We’ll have some scanners and laptops available, but if you have your own, bringing them would be a huge help so we can divide tasks like scanning, labeling, and organizing.
We’ll provide snacks and drinks, and you’re welcome to come later & stay for as little or as long as you like. Come hang out, pitch in, and help us preserve the story of Coronado Hills.

Our neighborhood meetings are a chance to stay informed and connected. We cover what's happening in the neighborhood, construction updates, and city changes that may affect our area. Occasionally, we invite representatives from the City of Austin to help explain updates directly. There's always time for a Q&A, so neighbors can bring up questions or concerns and hear from others in the community.

Board Elections:

The current CHCRNA board members' terms will conclude at the end of 2026, and elections for the next board will be held at our November meeting. If you've ever wanted to play a more active role in shaping our neighborhood, we encourage you to consider serving on the board. Current board members are happy to answer questions, share their experiences, and help interested neighbors learn more about the available roles over the coming months. Nominations are now open and will remain open until the election. You may nominate yourself or a neighbor who you believe would be a great fit for the association.
