What: 

Our neighborhood meetings are a chance to stay informed and connected. We cover what's happening in the neighborhood, construction updates, and city changes that may affect our area. Occasionally, we invite representatives from the City of Austin to help explain updates directly. There's always time for a Q&A, so neighbors can bring up questions or concerns and hear from others in the community.​​

NEIGHBORHOOD GARDEN TOUR​

When: Saturday May 30th 9 AM - 11AM
Where: START at 7400 Sevilla Dr (walking the route around the neighborhood) 
What: 

Our Neighborhood Garden Tour went so well last year, and we’re so excited to bring it back this spring!
We loved getting to walk the neighborhood together, see the spaces people have created, and give neighbors a chance to share their work, ideas, and creativity. It was such a simple but meaningful way to connect — both with each other and with the land we care for.

🌱 How It Works
We’ll create a walkable route and visit each participating yard together as a group.
Each stop will have about 30 minutes for the host to:
Share their space
Talk about what they’re growing or working on
Answer questions (if they want!)

We’ll also have:
🥤 Drinks available
🎤 A speaker + microphone so hosts can easily share with the group

No need for a perfectly manicured yard — this is about community, creativity, and connection, not perfection.

🌼 Flexible + Casual
You don’t have to attend the whole time — feel free to join for just one or two stops, come late or leave early, pop in wherever works for you.

MORE SUMMER EVENTS

One of the board’s goals during our term has been to host at least one community event each month to give neighbors opportunities to meet face-to-face and build stronger connections. Real community helps create safer, more resilient neighborhoods — and often starts with simply getting to know the people around you.

We plan to continue these gatherings throughout the summer! Please note that the dates below are tentative and final details will be announced in the coordinating monthly newsletters.

June – Outdoor Movie Night

at La Palapa

at Windsor Park Library

HOST JUNE MOVIE NIGHT?
The board already has the projector, screen, and snacks covered — we mainly just need a relatively flat space where neighbors can gather comfortably for a fun summer evening. If you’d like to volunteer your driveway please email us
