What: Our neighborhood meetings are a chance to stay informed and connected. We cover what's happening in the neighborhood, construction updates, and city changes that may affect our area. Occasionally, we invite representatives from the City of Austin to help explain updates directly. There's always time for a Q&A, so neighbors can bring up questions or concerns and hear from others in the community.

June Social at Silver Metal:​

What: Come hang out with your neighbors for a casual evening at Silver Metal! No agenda—just drinks, food (buy your own), and a chance to meet more folks from Coronado Hills and Creekside. Whether you’re new to the neighborhood or a longtime local, we’d love to see you there and build a little more community, one conversation at a time.

July Social at La Palapa Cantina:​

What: Come hang out with your neighbors for a casual evening at La Palapa Cantina! No agenda—just drinks, food (buy your own), and a chance to meet more folks from Coronado Hills and Creekside. Whether you’re new to the neighborhood or a longtime local, we’d love to see you there and build a little more community, one conversation at a time.

Hands-On History: Scan, Sort, and Snack:​
When: August 19, 2025 5 PM - 7:45 PM
Where: Windsor Park Library 5833 Westminster Dr, Austin, TX 78723
What: At the beginning of 2025, when the CHCRNA board transitioned, we received several boxes of physical files—newsletters, meeting minutes, flyers, and other materials documenting the happenings of our neighborhood for the past 15+ years. It’s a treasure trove of community history, and now it’s time to organize and preserve it!

We’re hosting a laid-back archive day to digitize and sort through these materials together. If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved, this is the perfect opportunity to give your time to the neighborhood, learn more about our shared history, and connect with neighbors in a fun, low-pressure setting.

We’ll be working out of a room at the Windsor Park Library (because, let’s be real, August is not the time for outdoor events). We’ll have some scanners and laptops available, but if you have your own, bringing them would be a huge help so we can divide tasks like scanning, labeling, and organizing.

We’ll provide snacks and drinks, and you’re welcome to come later & stay for as little or as long as you like. Come hang out, pitch in, and help us preserve the story of Coronado Hills.

Walk, Talk, & Tidy

What: We’ll walk the streets of the neighborhood, clean up litter, and connect with neighbors along the way.
We’ll provide bags and grabbers, so just bring yourself and comfortable walking shoes. It’s a great way to give back, meet your neighbors, and get some fresh air.
